Lele Beaded Shorts

A sequined short defined by a statement, jewel-like waistband. Cut in a minimal silhouette, a trompe l'oeil embellished belt wraps the waist with a crown-like scalloped edge that feels both ornamental and sculptural. Hand-embroidered in gold dabka and pink stone detailing.

Inspired by decorative trims and the kamarband–a South Asian waist chain associated with adornment, sensuality, and regional dress traditions, historically worn to carry valuables or weapons; blending both beauty and function.

Long, fine beaded fringe falls from the waistbelt, adding movement to the density of the black sequined base. The Lele Beaded shorts blur the line between ceremonial dressing, heirloom craft, and contemporary dressing–turning a minimal shorts silhouette into something distinctly Mirchi. Finished with a concealed side seam zipper closure.
